Community Resources

We at the Cancer Resource Center of Western Maine are happy to be involved in a community that cares so much about it's neighbors. Below are a small selection of the many local nonprofits and service groups available within our community.
Maine Coalition to Fight Prostate Cancer - The Maine Coalition to Fight Prostate Cancer was established in December 2005 by a group of prostate cancer survivors and their spouses. Members of the Coalition share the desire to raise awareness of prostate cancer and the importance of early detection.

Seniors Plus - Seniors Plus supports older adults and their families in Oxford, Franklin, and Androscoggin counties. They offer a variety of services for older adults, including care coordination, nutrition services, and education. For more information call 1-800-427-1241 or 207-795-401 or email at [email protected]

Alan Day Community Garden - Alan Day Community Garden's mission is to improve the community's health by providing opportunities to learn, build relationships, and grow food together. Throughout the year they hold events and workshops focused on sustainability, community, and food.
