Who We Are
The Cancer Resource Center of Western Maine is a  501c3 non-profit organization funded by individual and corporate donations, private foundations, and fundraisers. 

​Whether you are newly diagnosed, in treatment, years beyond treatment, living with metastatic disease or are a loved one of someone with cancer, we have programs and services to support you. You are not alone. We are here for you.

The Cancer Resource Center of Western Maine serves cancer patients in Oxford county and its' surrounding towns.  We offer one to one support; cancer resource navigation services; in-person, virtual and recorded wellness programs and activities; cancer support groups for men and women; complementary therapy; travel and food assistance; and a variety of comfort items - all FREE - to anyone impacted by cancer - because no one should face cancer alone.


Our Mission
We embrace anyone affected by cancer through creating a hopeful and caring community providing support, resources, education, and wellness services.


Vision Statement
Ensure cancer patients, caregivers and their families rural communities receive resources and services to support and enhance the lives of those journeying through cancer.


The three primary "stressors" common to cancer patients that can be obstacles during the treatment and recovery process:
                                      1. Financial                                   2. Physical                                 3. Emotional

Programs at the Cancer Resource Center of Western Maine  are specifically designed to address these areas of stress for anyone dealing with cancer.  Our community based approach to cancer support sets us apart from other programs, and is an important part of our model of care. Hundreds of people with cancer and their loved ones throughout western Maine have united together through our programs.
