A class for people recovering from cancer treatment
For most people, having a cancer diagnosis and going through treatment is alife changing experience. The physical and emotional strain leaves manypeople feeling exhausted and overwhelmed. Often times, patients andfamilies have mixed emotions, new challenges and lots of questions as theytry to find their “new normal”. Please join Barb Perry, RN, Certified Health and Wellness Coachin a conversation about recovery after cancer treatment and what steps you cantake to maximize your quality of life. Barb has 21 years of experience as a Family Nurse Practitioner followed by 18 years as a clinical program manager in a number of settings. Barbara was certified as a Health & WellnessCoach in 2014 and recertified in 2021. Most recently, Barb worked with a cancer survivorship program and understands many of the challenges patients face once completing treatment. Discussion topics will include: • Reducing your future cancer risk • Coping with emotions and managing stress • The value of good nutrition and how to make changes.
